La Giustiniana
La Giustiniana is one of the oldest wineries in the area of Gavi. Here the Cortese grows since the XV Century and the first bottles were produced at the beginning of 1700. Founded by Giustiniana family, one of the most important in Genova at the time, a splendid Villa was built in 1625 where in the past it was a benedictine monastry. After several change in property and little attention to the viticulture, in 2015 the estate has been bought by Magda Pedrini and Stefano Massone. The first part of the investments has been dedicated to renew the vineyards in the two “Grand Crus” Montessora and Lugarara. In the meantime the splendid Villa and the historical cellars are being restored.
