Torre Varano

Dipped in a hillside landscape drawn by vineyards and olive groves, Torre Varano was founded in 2003 following long-established, age-old farming tradition.  The terroir provides extraordinary wine producing opportunity where five grape varieties are cultivated: Aglianico, Falanghina, Greco, Fiano and Coda di Volpe.  All are of ancient origins, which became popular over time in the Taburno area.  The wines produced here are at their best potential thanks to proper soil and climate.

This family of farmers have a passion for vineyards and wines.  Much is sacrificed to find the ideal synergy between land, winemaking, cellar art, man and the proper balance between innovation and tradition.  It allows them to fulfil the dream of being able to faithfully represent the great wine producing tradition of Taburno. Their final products are endowed with character and a strong personality.

The human factor added by the D’Occhio family is fully imposed to increase territory value and cultivars. The company covers an area of 22 hectares, spanning in the municipality of Torrecuso, with 18 hectares dedicated completely to vineyards facing South/East at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level.
