Review
Sweetly spiced and floral, the 2017 Aleatico Superiore Pergola Grifoglietto lifts up with notes of allspice, clove and balsamic-tinged black cherries. Its velvety feel gives way to a rich display of ripe black fruits complemented by salty minerals, as an air of tobacco and cocoa builds toward the close. This finishes long and lightly structured, with fine tannins resonating on nuances of licorice, inner violet tones and sour citrus.

Review
(a single-vineyard wine made from roughly 50-year-old vines): Full ruby-purple. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet and quinine. Pure, primary dark fruit flavors are highlighted but not overwhelmed by spicy and floral notes of sandalwood, cardamom, nutmeg, lavender and violet. This impressively intense fruit bomb is still very young and should repay a few more years of cellaring. Finishes with excellent lift and length.

Review
The 2019 Aleatico Pergola Vernaculum pulls you close with its mix of bright cherry, peppery spice, cinnamon, clove and rosy florals. It soothes with silky textures, coming across as pliant and round, yet energized by vibrant acids, which also work to enliven its wild berry fruits. Pretty violet and lavender tones linger over a flourish of salty minerality as this tapers off with a delicate touch. Very nice.

Review
The 2020 Aleatico Pergola Vernaculum boasts a remarkably pretty, fruit-forward and pleasantly sweet display, mixing violets and lavender with raspberries and cherries. It's fleshy and round in feel, with ripe red and blue fruits energized by juicy acidity, as saline-minerals slowly saturate toward the close. While the 2020 is quite extroverted in character, it [never becomes tiring or cloying, finishing classically dry and with only a subtle hint of framing tannins. There's no need to wait here; this is packed full of balanced pleasure. In fact, you may want to even consider giving it a slight chill.

Review
The 2021 Pergola Aleatico Vernaculum blossoms in the glass and with a vivid burst of freshly opened blackberry preserves, violet florals and sweet smoke. It's soft-textured yet juicy to the core, with tart, wild berry fruits and a touch of sour citrus that adds lovely tension toward the close. The 2021 finishes with a salty-savory flourish, as hints of black currant and lavender fade. While this vintage of Vernaculum is a bit more immediate than usual, it's also expertly balanced and geared for a long and open drinking window.

Review
Deep ruby. On the delicate, aromatic nose, notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and quinine lift the red cherry, blueberry and underbrush aromas. Flavors similar to the aromas are ripe and fleshy and leave a luscious mouthfeel. A delicate spiciness is neatly extended on the long back end thanks to vibrant but harmonious acidity. Best Vernaculum ever, even if the oaky presence diminishes its aromatic power somewhat. Well done.

Luminous pink. Clean aromas of quinine, white flowers and red berries. Then similar flavors to the aromas, but with a salty, spicy edge on the long fresh, high acid but harmonious finish.

Review
It’s hard to pull yourself away from the 2020 Rosato Fiori Pergola. This is a varietal Vernaccia Rossa in Rosato form that grabs your attention with a bouquet of exotic flowers and tropical fruits complemented by crushed stone, lime zest and a spicy hint of ginger. The enveloping textures are nicely offset by salty minerals, bright acidity and kiwi. This tapers off a bit short but pleasing with its cheek-puckering freshness.

Review
The 2022 Rosato Pergola Fiori wafts up with a pretty blend of wild strawberries, chalk dust and sweet smoke. lt's soft and enveloping with ripe cherry-berry fruits and juicy acidity. This finishes with decent length and concentration, lingering longer than anticipateci as sour cherry hints slowly fade.
