Review
Bright ruby. Ink, fresh blueberries and violet on the nose. Clean and lively in the mouth despite its 14% alcohol, which it hides well thanks to plenty of extract and ripe tannins. Finishes long, multilayered and suave. Outstanding entry-level wine from Filomusi Guelfi.

Review
The 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wafts up with an earthy and herbal bouquet, blending wild berries and musky currants with hints of white pepper and sage. This impresses with its round and pliant feel, showcasing mineral-tinged red fruits that are energized by brisk acidity. The 2019 shows a bit of heat through the licorice-tinged finale, while tapering off with a staining of primary concentration and gentle tannins.

Review
Moderately saturated ruby. Very big, deep, flinty, inky aromas and flavors of dark plum, blueberry and red cherry complicated by botanical herbs and licorice. Finishes with noteworthy salinity and tarriness, in keeping with the grape variety. Aged 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels. The big and still youthfully chewy tannins need time to develop and soften, but this is yet another knockout wine from Filomusi Guelfi this year.

Good full ruby. Aromas and flavors of red berries, plum and tar. Relatively smooth on entry, then rising tannins leave a slightly chewy mouthfeel on the long, broad close.

Review
Good full ruby. Bright, ripe blue and black fruit aromas and flavors are complicated by herbs and inky nuances. Finishes long, ripe and savory with a creamy mouthfeel. This is a big wine that manages to stay just this side of refined, without falling over the top. Aged in stainless steel and in large oak barrels.
