Review
Made with organic fruit, the Casa al Vento 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione V'incanto is tighly packed with characteristic Sangiovese tones of sour cherry, forest fruit, cassis and dried plum. It shows an especially earthy side with potting soil and dusty tones of dried terracotta clay. This mid-weight red shows good intensity and a mild, medium-length finish. I recommend this bottle for near and medium-term drinking.

Review
Sweet berries and cherries with hints of flowers, such as violets. Full-bodied with round, chewy tannins but the ripe fruit shows through. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Review
Savory aromas of spiced cherries, plums, orange peel, rhubarb and some dry earth. A medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and juicy, savory fruit. A bit old-fashioned but well-made. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.

Violet, forest floor, oak-driven spice and a whiff of camphor shape the nose. Extremely elegant, the focused palate delivers juicy plum, vanilla and star anise set against polished tannins and tangy acidity. Drink through 2026.

Blue flower, baked plum and resin aromas waft out of the glass along with underbrush notes. The full-bodied palate offers red cherry, blood orange, truffle, star anise and hints of game alongside enveloping, fine-grained tannins. Drink through 2027.

Some bark, black tea and chocolate to the berries and spices. Rich and pretty full-bodied on the palate with fine-grained tannins and a long, savory finish. Drink or hold.
