Review
Il Palazzino's 2011 Bertinga is rich and harmonious. Racy, ripe and intense in its expression of dark fruit, the Bertinga is quite bold in style, but it is also well balanced. Readers should expect Cabernet Sauvignon-based red that is quite Tuscan in its flavor profile and overall personality.

Review
A fresh wine for 2011 with ripe plums, lemon peel and chocolate. An impressive balance of fruit and generous dry tannins. If the long finish was a little finer, this would have been rated even higher. Drink or hold.

Review
The 2016 Bertinga, Il Palazzino's Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend is packed with dark fruit, grilled herb, leather, licorice and cedar flavors. Swaths of tannin and lively acids give the wine a real feeling of energy. There is plenty of depth to the Bertinga, a Bordeaux red that speaks with a strong Tuscan accent. I find the Sangioveses more distinctive, but there is plenty to like here as well. The 2016 will shine brightest at the dinner table. I would give the 2016 a good bit of air, as time in the decanter brings out an element of finesse that is not present at the outset. It's an absolutely gorgeous wine.

Review
The 2018 Bertinga (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) offers up scents of leather, tobacco, charcoal and spice, with considerable aromatic presence from the Cabernet. The 2018 is a bit rustic, but not unpleasantly so. Pretty floral notes reappear on the finish, adding lift and aromatic presence. This deep, mid-weight wine has a lot to offer.
