Review
Red cherries and berries on the nose with hints of truffley mushroom and aromatic bark. Full-to medium-bodied with fine, lightly firm and spice-coated tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Best from 2023.

Balanced and supple, with lively acidity and refined tannins meshing with the cherry, raspberry, mint and tobacco flavors. Sleek, firming up on the finish. Best from 2022 through 2038.

Shows density and square shoulders, along with cherry, plum, tobacco, earth and tar flavors. The brooding nature builds on the firm, dusty finish. Best from 2023 through 2042. 1,600 cases made.

Review
Seghesio's 2014 Barolo is a gorgeous, super-expressive wine. Sweet tobacco, mint, crushed flowers and anise give the 2014 its gracious floral/savory profile. Medium in body and nicely lifted, the 2014 will drink well for at least a number of years. All the elements come together effortlessly in a wine that captures the essence of the year. At times, the 2014 Barolo seems a bit forward, but its balance is impeccable. I wouldn't wait too long to enjoy this very pretty and inviting Barolo from Seghesio.

Review
The 2016 Barolo is a very pretty, velvety wine in this range. Crushed flowers, sweet dried cherry, mint, pine and anise are all lifted in this elegant, gracious Barolo. This is an especially ethereal style, but all the elements are very nicely balanced just the same. Light on its feet and understated, the 2016 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years.

Review
The 2016 Barolo offers round and ripe aromas of raspberry, cherry and candied orange peel. Dig a little deeper and you will find subtle hints of crushed clove, dried ginger and aspirin pill. If some Baroli veer toward ethereal aromas of licorice, tar and rust, this wine remains firmly rooted in a world of wild berries and forest fruit. The mouthfeel is slender and fine with a bright spot of acidic freshness. An ample 12,000 bottles were produced.
