Review
An invigorating yet completely unexpected mix of dusty rose, bright cherry, minty herbs and hints of candied citrus lift up from the 2019 Aglianico Salae Domini. It's soft-textured, almost fleshy in feel, yet vibrant, with ripe red and black berries that give way to hints of licorice and sweet spice. This maintains wonderful energy yet also poise, tapering off fresh and classically dry. It's not often that you find such a delicate expression and Aglianico that communicates such elegance. Pus, it bears mentioning that this was open for over twenty-four hours without any sign of decline.

Review
Dark ruby-red. Clean, ripe aromas of red cherry and medicinal herbs. Then flinty, smooth flavors of cherry, strawberry and tobacco. Finishes suave and long, with a hint of smoke. This is another easy-to-drink and easy-to-like red from Caggiano in 2015. The label says 14% alcohol, but this is so well balanced, I really couldn’t tell.

Review
Saturated ruby. Graphite, licorice, tar and woodsy underbrush complicate sour red cherry aromas and flavors. Much more elegant but also more austere and less fruity than the other two Aglianicos released by Caggiano this year. Is there enough fruit here to stand up to the tannins over time? Finishes long and serious. I’d cellar for another two years but would drink up over three or four years after that.
