Review
Deep purple-red. Very intense aromas of ripe red cherry and cassis reduction. Suave, sweet tannins coat the mouth with mint and balsamic flavors complicated by vanilla and cocoa. Finishes very spicy and floral, leaving a very refined mouthfeel behind. These vines are situated at 450 meters above sea level on a very well ventilated site.

This is so beautiful with cracked black pepper and dark fruit. Medium body, ultra-fine tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

Review
A fragrant nose of ripe black and red cherries, sweet chocolate and cedar. Full-bodied with firm tannins. The palate is full of sweet dark fruit, such as crushed blackberries, and has a saline finish. Good minerality and overall juiciness. Drink now.

Review
The 2018 Aglianico Quattro Confini shows smoky blackberry mixing with a vivid whiff of peppermint, followed by savory herbs and hints of animal musk. This is cool-toned and pliant in feel, with bright wild berry fruits that give way to hints of cinnamon and clove. Residual acids maintain freshness throughout, as this tapers off to tart black currants and hints of salted licorice. There’s quite a bit of concentration here and plenty of energy to maintain balance, making for a highly pleasurable sip.

Review
The Benito Ferrara 2019 Irpinia Aglianico Vigna Quattro Confini reveals a pretty personality with plenty of wild berry, rose and blackcurrant. The wine gracefully escapes the trappings of appearing too heavy or extracted, and that lighter style makes it approachable and easy to drink. You might try it with a simple pasta and ground meat ragù. Production is 10,000 bottles.

Review
Aromas of charcoal, grilled meat, blackberry and baked raspberry. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and juicy fruit. Very herbal on the palate. Thyme and rosemary. Lingering finish. Rather complex and well balanced. Drink now.
