Review
The 2015 Dogliani Superiore Vigna del Ciliegio is plump, juicy and forward, all of which give it tons of immediacy and sheer appeal. Soft curves and ripe, racy, red cherry/raspberry fruit add character and personality to this racy, inviting Barbera. The Vigna del Ciliegio is the most overt and fruity of the single-vineyard Dogliani in this range.

Review
The 2016 Dogliani Superiore Vigna del Ciliegio is a powerful wine. Swaths of tannin add to its imposing, brooding personality. Smoke, tobacco, leather, licorice, scorched earth and black fruits all run through this decidedly potent, backward Dogliani. There is no shortage of personality, but readers need to be patient, as the wine is quite reticent at this stage.

Review
The Boschis Francesco 2016 Dogliani Superiore Vigna del Ciliegio opens to a dark and almost impenetrable appearance with blackish ruby highlights. This wine stands out thanks to an extra year of aging (with one year in large oak casks and 10 months in stainless steel), awarding us a different perspective on the Dolcetto grape. The intensity of the fruit has carefully subsided, and the wine glides over the palate with added tar, spice and truffle. This is a special red wine from Piedmont with fruit from southwest-facing 60-year-old vines planted in heavy calcareous clay soils. A precious few 1,600 bottles were released. I highly recommend this wine for its terrific value.

Review
The 2017 Dogliani Superiore Vigna del Ciliegio is a bold, brawny wine. Big tannins give the 2017 quite a bit of presence, and yet there is more than enough fruit to balance things out. Wild cherry, blood orange, smoke, incense and game build in the glass. The Vigna del Ciliegio is another very serious wine from Boschis. Complex, dynamic and full of character.

Review
This is a really lovely expression from a hot vintage, with so much extra richness and big intensity. The aromas on the Boschis Francesco 2017 Dogliani Superiore Vigna del Ciliegio are almost overblown, with cherry liqueur, creamy crème de cassis and a syrupy texture. There is some dryness on the palate, but this grape and this vintage just click like lock and key. This was a release of 1,668 bottles and 16 magnums.

Review
The 2019 Dogliani Superiore Pianezzo - Vigna del Cliegio is a dark, brooding wine. Black cherry, incense, smoke, licorice, melted road tar and gravel give this broad-shouldered, deep Dogliani tons of intensity. The tannins are firm, but nicely balanced. Give this 6-12 months in bottle or a good decant.
