Review
A supremely elegant wine, the 2015 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino has so much to offer. A rush of wild cherry, pomegranate, mint, sweet tobacco, licorice and dried herbs makes a strong opening statement. Medium in body and beautifully persistent, the 2015 is absolutely striking from the very first taste. Bright floral notes, rose petal and red plum add the closing shades of nuance in a wine that shows the dolcetto grape at its more refined.

Review
An intense, powerful version, this boasts a vibrant and muscular structure upholding plum, black cherry, spice and earth flavors. The dense, compact finish suggests decanting now or aging for a few years. Drink now through 2024.

Review
The 2016 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino is powerful and driven, with a distinctly earthy, savory style that differentiates it in this lineup. Game, white pepper, smoke, wild red cherry and dried rose petal add striking nuance to this potent, deeply flavored Dogliani. Drink it over the next handful of years.

Review
The 2017 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino is one of the most complete wines in this range from Boschis. Sweet red plum fruit, floral overtones and spice notes all meld together in the glass. The 2017 is powerful and rich, with quite a bit of supporting structure, and just impeccable overall balance. This is impressive stuff.

Review
The Boschis Francesco 2018 Dogliani Superiore Pianezzo - Vigne Sorì San Martino offers a dark and layered bouquet with exciting floral highlights of dark rose and pressed violet. The wine appears full-bodied at first, but upon second inspection, the fruit reveals a light and loose character. Blackberry and sour cherry add to the significant primary intensity of the bouquet. Fruit is harvested from 70-year-old vines spread over a two-hectare plot with important, labor-intensive slopes (with inclines ranging from 35% to 55%). As a result, all vineyard work is done by hand and a mere 2,000 bottles were produced.

Review
The 2018 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino is another terrific wine in this range from Boschis. Dark red cherry, red plum, mocha, wild flowers, licorice and spice build as this sumptuous, rich Dogliani shows off its total allure. Deep and fleshy, with striking balance, the 2018 is superb. Silky tannins and lifted floral accents add to its considerable appeal.

Review
The 2019 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino is a big, dense wine. Black cherry, smoke, tobacco, game, incense, dried herbs and rose petal build in a Dogliani that exudes power and breadth. Another year or two in bottle will help soften the formidable tannins. Readers will find a wine of tremendous distinction.

Review
Here's another Dolcetto from Boschis Francesco that shows thickly layered dark fruit, this time with blackberry preserves and black cherry. The 2019 Dogliani Superiore Pianezzo - Vigne Sorì San Martino is rich and very intense, wrapping thickly over the palate in crashing waves. This Dolcetto has a medium finish, but it shows a lot of volume on the mid-palate. There is some drying mineral on the close. Some 3,894 bottles and 16 magnums were released.

Review
The 2020 Dogliani Superiore Vigne Sori' San Martino is packed with blue/purplish fruit, lavender, licorice, incense, gravel, scorched earth smoke and cured meats. This potent, muscular Dogliani has much to offer in a hearty, rustic style. Give the tannins a vear or two to soften.

This shows notes of dark cherries and wild berries with hints of sandalwood, dried flowers and walnuts. Juicy and vivid on the palate with medium body and a crunchy, red-fruited mid-palate. Flavorful finish. Drink now.
