Review
Aromas of dried strawberries, citrus fruit, flower sand sandalwood. Full-bodied and really powerful with fantastic layering of fruit and ripe tannins. Strawberries, spices, mushrooms and dried flowers. Superb finish. This is a great Barolo. Really well done. Try after 2023.

Oak tones of vanilla and toast are nicely integrated with the floral, red berry, tar, iron and tobacco flavors of this red, which is polished and succulent, showing a mix of fruit, spice and mineral notes mingling on the finish. Best from 2023 through 2042. 200 cases made, 70 cases imported.

Plum, cherry, licorice, tar, cut grass and floral aromas and flavors highlight this deftly balanced and expressive red, which is dense with tannins, yet surprisingly approachable at this stage. Best from 2024 through 2040. 200 cases made, 70 cases imported.

Review
Ripe and super-clean red-berry aromas and flavors here, as well as some bright floral notes. A little truffle emerges with air, together with some tarragon fresh chive, dried orange rind, mace and more. Medium-to full-bodied with a dense core of complex fruit flavors and lightly firm tannin. Long, crystalline finish. Classy Barolo, showing all the complexity of this top vineyard in La Morra. Best from 2024.

Review
The 2018 Barolo Arborina is a bit more open than it usually is. There is less depth, but also less tannin and overall structure. All the elements ae nicely balanced, though, and that is why the 2018 shows so well. Sweet tobacco, cedar, mint, dried flowers and espresso add aromatic complexity throughout.

A flash of sweet oak spice offsets cherry, licorice, leather, menthol and tar flavors. Vibrant, with stiff tannins leaving a dusty impression the finish. All the right elements are there. Best from 2021 through 2037.

Review
The 2014 Barolo Arborina is another deep, powerful wine from Renato Corino. Dark, virile and imposing, delivering searing tannins that are going to require a measure of patience, this is a decidedly tightly wound Barolo, and the edginess that is so typical of this cru is accentuated in 2014. Even so, it has quite a bit to offer for those who can wait.

Review
Intense and ripe red-plum aromas with rose essence and hints of fresh, sliced strawberries, dusted in vanilla and graphite. The succulent palate has a very supple and fleshy core of ripe red plums, framed in ripe, elastic tannins. One of the more approachable 2015s, it will also age reliably. Best from 2022.

Review
The 2015 Barolo Arborina shows the darker side of this well-known La Morra cru. Black cherry, mocha, new leather, spice and licorice all build in this atypically rich, muscular Barolo from Arborina. Powerful and exotic, the 2015 is going to need at least a few years in bottle to soften. This is a lot to like.

Review
The 2016 Barolo Arborina is powerful and tightly wound, with explosive energy that is just waiting to fully emerge. Readers will find an especially rich, potent expression of this Arborina site. Black cherry, violet, lavender and spice add to a real sense of gravitas. The 2016 needs time in bottle to be at its best, but it has terrific freshness and persistence. The significant presence of clay in this portion of Arborina contributes to the wine's size. This is such a gorgeous wine.

Review
The 2017 Barolo Arborina is a big, dramatic wine. Super-ripe red fruit, mint, white pepper and spice are all amplified in a Barolo that takes all the signatures of this well-known La Morra cru and turns up the dial. As always, the Arborina has some nervousness in the tannin, but historically that is one of the things that has helped this wine age well. There is certainly no shortage of character here.

Review
The 2019 Barolo Arborina is a bright, eKusive wine. Macerated cherry, licorice, dried herbs, pine and mocha all meld together. Sensual and plush, with terrific depth, the 2019 is showing very, very well today. It's a classic Renato Corino Barolo, perhaps a bit less exuberant than most years, but impeccable in its balance and overall harmony.

This red leans more to black cherry and black currant in flavor, augmented by tobacco and eucalyptus accents. There's plenty of ripe fruit, along with tar and spice notes at the very end, showing fine balance and length. Best from 2026 through 2043. 200 cases made, 70 cases imported.

Review
The 2020 Barolo Arborino is a powerful, deep wine. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, spice and gravel are all amplified in the potent, virile Barolo. Today, the 2020 is pretty raw, unformed and decidedly somber. Even so, there's terrific potential. Potent dark cherry, blook orange, pine and mint linger.
