Lambrusco di Grasparossa di Castelvetro Becco Rosso |

Review
Purple-ruby. Aromas of black cherry and violet; uncommonly perfumed for a wine made with Lambrusco Grasparossa. Dense, but juicy, with a tactile mouthfeel (this instead quite typical of the tannic Grasparossa variety), and plenty of luscious bright dark fruit and licorice flavors. Finishes long and creamy. Outstanding Lambrusco Grasparossa that manages to overcome the variety’s inherent tannic power allowing the ripe fruit to shine through.

Review
Medicinal blackberry and cherry give way to sage and roses as the 2020 Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Beccorosso opens in the glass. It’s soft and round in feel, contrasted by a concentrated wave of ripe red berries and spices. This leaves the palate stained in sweet lavender and violet florals, yet the expression remains fresh and lively through the medium-length finale.

Dark pink. Very spicy nuances to the candied raspberry and strawberry jelly aromas and flavors. Ripe and dense with persistent juicy berry flavors on the bright suave finish.

Medium pink. Complex aromas and flavors of herbs, potpourri, violet, rose, hibiscus, flower tea, fennel and a hint of bubble gum. Finishes suave and full. A very serious Lambrusco.

Review
The 2021 Lambrusco di Sorbara Corte degli
Attimi is an intense, translucent red color,
verging on neon, with a rich bouquet of crushed
cherries, lavender and roses. It’s savory and
quite salty in character, mixing brilliant acidity
with tart red berries over a core of minerality.
The palate is left completely refreshed as
nuances of dried strawberries linger. This is a
very pretty vintage of Corte degli Attimi.

Review
Made with organically grown grapes, this lightly hued, polished sparkler opens with delicate aromas of violet, red berries and a hint of bread dough. Elegant and vibrant, the dry palate offers crushed strawberry, pink grapefruit and a hint of saline alongside bright acidity and a refined perlage.

Review
A hot pink verging on cherry color in the gloss. The 2022 Lombrusco di Sorbara Corte degli Attimi opens with a sweetly fiorai blend of wild strawberries and sweet spice. This contrasts crystalline bubbles and striking minerality with ripe red fruits as a twang of sour citrus adds toward the dose. lt cleans up beautifully with licorice and inner violet hints that resonate. Nicely done.

Review
The 2023 Lambrusco di Sorbara Corte degli Attimi is a deep ruby-red color in the glass, exploding with a rush of fresh wild strawberry fruit and lavender. Concentrated red berry flavors continue on the tongue, with further complexity coming in the form of rosy floral tones and blood orange sweetness. It almost reminds me of Aranciata Rossa. The bubbles are fine, precise and abundant, washing over the palate like a breaker on the shore, leaving the mouth completely reset and ready for another sip. I think I'll indulge.

Review
Inky-ruby with a strong purple froth. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, blueberry and candied violet. Enters tactile and almost tough, then smoothens out with aeration. More precise and dense than the rounder entry-level Lambrusco Grasparossa. Made by secondary fermentation in the bottle and resting six months on the lees; the grapes are picked in older hillside vineyards that are the estate’s best. This Lambrusco Grasparossa will actually keep well for a few years.

Woodsy and tea rose notes waft from the glass of this perfumed Lambrusco, accenting the ripe black cherry and strawberry fruit. Fresh and elegant, with a fine, zesty mousse and light tannins firming the finish. Drink now through 2021.

There's real energy to this creamy Lambrusco, carrying a lovely range of blackberry coulis, Mandarin orange zest and minerally iron notes accented by delicate graphite, star anise and dried marjoram aromatics. Drink now. 2,500 cases made, 825 cases imported.

Review
The 2020 Pignoletto Frizzante Nebbia Felsinea is savory in the glass with dusty, yellow florals that give way to notes of ginger and pear. It engages the palate with zesty acids contrasted by silken bubbles that give way to ripe orchard fruits and mulling spice. The Nebbia Felsinea tapers off wonderfully fresh, leaning more toward the tropical spectrum with hints of kiwi and sour melon. This varietal Pignoletto is a pleasure to taste.

Review
The 2021 Frizzante Pignoletto Nebbia Felsinea is a cloudy golden color in the glass. lt wafts up with a mix of gingery spice and crushed yellow apples. lt cascades across the palate with a chiseled bead of mineral-tinged bubbles as hints of candied citrus form toward the close. This tapers off with on enriching note of brown spice while maintaining a crisply refreshing persona. I love the balance of richness and energy within, making the Nebbia Felsinea a pleasure both at and away from the dinner table.
