Villanoviana, a proud Bolgheri DOC winery, is a project carried out by Marco Belli and Barbara Monacelli, life partners and wine adventure companions. Originally from Sassuolo, in the province of Modena, a land of fog and industriousness, they decided to embrace the Tyrrhenian sun in 2006, completing the construction of the current production site in 2015, equipped with a ventilated ceramic façade capable of ensuring the correct temperature regulation of the environment.
Today, the estate covers an area of 9 hectares of vineyards, all trained with the spurred cordon system for a density of six thousand vines per hectare. All processing is carried out under certified organic regime using the Bokashi method, composting originating from Japan obtained through the fermentation of organic matter that promotes soil microbial activity. The cellar is equipped with concrete tanks for alcoholic fermentation, while in the underground cellar, the aging room with French oak barrels is temperature controlled. The result is contemporary wines, obtained with a precise technical approach. A high level of discipline is achieved in every department of the company, including the experience and insight offered by the oenological consultancy of Nicolò Carrara.
