Review
Pira's 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo is gorgeous. Rich, ample and expressive, Pira's Langhe Nebbiolo is a more accessible version of his Barolos. There is gorgeous depth to the 2016, with hints of cedar, dried flowers, mint and tobacco that add aromatic depth.

Review
The 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo is a lean and tapered expression of this important Piedmont red grape. Looks are deceiving, as the wine charges forth with a beautifully polished and concise succession of aromas. You get wild berry, cassis and a touch of sweet cherry marmalade. Lingering tones of smoke and powdered licorice add to the cheerful intensity of the bouquet.

A more delicate style, boasting red fruit flavors of strawberry and cherry, with a touch of flowers. The structure here is softer and the finish long. Drink now through 2024.

Review
The 2017 Langhe Nebbiolo is another superb wine in this range. The Nebbiolo here is a large, ample wine built on real textural breadth. Crushed flowers, spice, sweet pipe tobacco and cedar give the 2017 lovely aromatic lift to play off its natural richness and muscle. This is such a distinctive wine.

The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo is gorgeous. All the elements are so impeccably balanced. Aromatic and yet deep, Giampadio Pira's Langhe Nebbiolo offers notable complexity and tons of character. Dark cherry, licorice, menthol, spice and lavender infuse the 2018 with quite a bit of nuance. loved it.

Review
The 2015 Langhe Nebbiolo is a pleasant, every-day drinker with good varietal character. Like all of Giampaolo Pira's wines, the Langhe Nebbiolo is powerful and structured, perhaps more so than readers are likely to expect at this level. Even so, there is plenty to enjoy. The 2015 is a rare Langhe Nebbiolo that will benefit from a bit more time in bottle. The exotic orange peel and spice notes that open up over time add considerable appeal.
