Review
The core of plum and cherry is framed by spicy oak here, along with accents of licorice, tar and tobacco. This red is supple and harmonious, with polished tannins and a spicy finish. Best from 2022 through 2037. 500 cases made, 100 cases imported.

Lots of mild spice on the nose. Some ripe raspberry comes through on the palate, but the focus remains on the spicier elements. Medium-bodied with light tannins and a tasty finish. Drink or hold.

Attractive, sultry, savory nose, offering tar, cedar and leather aromas, as well as lighted dried cherries. Quite taut and composed with plenty of acidity leading into a firmish finish. Try from 2022.

Review
This is elegant and supple in texture, delivering cherry, plum, licorice, leather and light tar aromas and flavors. It's balanced nicely, including the savory and fruity elements. It's structured, with fine length. Best from 2022 through 2040.

Review
There is a lot of oak layering to the 2011 Barolo Bricco Luciani, and at first, it's hard to find the fruit buried below. But it does emerge with powerful black cherry and plum.

Review
The 2015 Barolo Bricco Luciani is one of the more overt wines in this lineup. As is so often the case, the Luciani is also one of the more complete Barolos here. Succulent dark cherry, plum spice, new leather and menthol infuse this resonant, expressive La Morra Barolo. The Luciani is distinguished by its mid palate generosity and creamy, enveloping personality. Time in bottle will allow all of the wine’s pedigree to emerge nicely. There is plenty to look forward to.

Very floral with roses and lilacs as well as hints of cinnamon highlighting the fresh plums and orange peel. Medium to full body with creamy and opened tannins and a juicy finish. Try in 2027.
