Review
Ripe red plums and grilled mushrooms with a light sprinkling of dried herbs and light spice. Medium-bodied with a clean bead of fruit that rides tight and firm, light-grained tannins. This is very compact. Give it a year to unravel. Try from 2023.

The 2018 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a soft, ruity Barolo to drink now and over the next few years. There's lovely purity and depth here. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice and leather are nicely pushed forward. This 2018 is imple, uncomplicated and delicious.

This is rich and evokes licorice, cherry and leather flavors. Juicy and open, with a firm underlying structure. Shows fine length, finishing with licorice and underbrush accents. Best from 2022 through 2036.

Lightly spiced and poached strawberries, leading into a palate with a neat array of smooth, fine-grained tannins. A juicy acidity kicks through the finish. Attractive freshness and elegance. Drink or hold.

Review
The 2014 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a big, powerful wine, especially within the context of the year. Corino's 2014 is a rare straight Barolo that is going to need a few years to come into its own. I won't be surprised if the 2014 provides a good decade-plus of fine drinking.

This red delivers a nice beam of cherry flavor midpalate, along with floral and spice notes. Tense, unwinding slowly to a lingering aftertaste of berry, mineral and spice. Best from 2021 through 2038.

Renato Corino’s 2015 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is fleshy, radiant Barolo to drink now and over the next 10-15 years. Succulent dark cherry, plum, violet, spice and mocha all open up. Creamy and flat-out delicious, the straight Barolo is this lineup is an overachiever. I loved it.

Bright black cherry and black currant flavors are accented by licorice, tar and stony mineral notes in this powerful red. The initial fleshiness is replaced by dense tannins as this plays out on the long, spice-tinged finish. Best from 2023 through 2040.

Aromas of berries, strawberries and rose soap. Full-bodied, very tight and tannic with a focused palate of fruit and bright acidity. Solid. Try in 2023.

Review
The 2016 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a serious wine that shows just how compelling the vintage is, even among entry-level bottlings. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather and menthol bring out darker shades of Nebbiolo in this rich, textured La Morra Barolo. This is an especially fleshy, rich style, especially among entry-level bottlings. Plush fruit and silky, polished tannins add considerable appeal.

Review
I love these wines that source fruit from a single comune, or village, in the Barolo appellation. The entry-level Renato Corino 2016 Barolo del Comune di La Morra showcases silky tannins, loose textural fiber and pretty berry accents. Once you break it all down, this wine delivers on a promise of varietal purity and accessibility. Raspberry and wild cherry is followed by dried mint and basil. An ample 10,000 bottles were made.

Review
The 2017 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a stellar wine in its peer group. Rich, ample and deep, the Comune offers tons of sheer appeal. Sweet red plum, kirsch, mint and spice build in a beautifully layered, expressive Barolo. There is some firmness in the tannin, but nothing a year or two in bottle won't take care of.

A medium-bodied red with firm, chewy tannins that are polished and long. It’s focused and structured. Needs time to soften. Better after 2024.
