Coda di Volpe comes from the Latin ‘Cauda Vulpium’ (fox’s tail), referring to the distinctive shape of the grape cluster.
Compared to DIIS’ ‘Campania Coda di Volpe’, the vines for this wine are older, located in hilly areas, and have a lower yield, but the final result in the bottle is more concentrated and structured aromas.
A full-bodied with a remarkable persistence in the mouth, with hints of honey and Rennet apples perfect to be peider with grilled fish, soft cheeses, ‘Caprese salad’, gnocchi with butter and sage.
