Negroamaro is an ancient vine typical of the Salento area and traces back to the pre-Roman times, 500 years BC. The over 2,000 years of presence in the area have allowed this grape the perfect adaptation that even climate change has not managed to faze. The name comes from the union of the Greek ‘Mavro’ and the Latin ‘Nigrum’ which indicates a wine with an impenetrable color. It is a generous grape, rich in tannins that gives the wine power and longevity.
