Masserie Pizari
Primitivo owes its name to the Latin ‘Primativus’ grapes, as they are the first red grapes harvested in Southern Italy. Present in the Salento area since pre-Roman times, it has adapted to poor soils with scarce water supplies and today it is one of best-known and appreciated varietals of this zone. In the glass, it is an intense ruby red with purple reflections, with a full, enveloping, harmonic taste and excellent structure.
