Aquila del Torre
Serving temperature 10 - 12 °C
Pairings Vegetable soups and velouté sauces, asparagus, eggs, fish
Color Golden yellow
Nose Sweet white flowers, apricots
Palate Savoury mineral-edged palate, sweet almonds in the end
From three west-facing parcels at mid-slope, each vinified and aged separately, one in steel tanks, one in concrete vats, and one in older barrels. Native yeasts, long aging of 8-10 months on the fine lees with very gentle batonage. No malo to preserve freshness. A full-bodied, multi-faceted wine, with floral notes that confer a graceful yet complex allure.
Light, perky, never bland, with a potent yet fresh mouthfeel. A wine to caress the palate, with a wonderfully subtle, bitter almond finish tempered by a mildly sweet note. The Friulano embodies the region’s cooler, straighter, and proudly angular character.
