MONTE COMPATRI (Frascati – Province of Rome): Springtime was rainy in this area, but from mid June throughout the whole harvest time the weather was sunny and dry.

Lorenzo Costantini owner of the homonymous estate (Frascati Superiore DOC, Lazio Rosso IGT): “…the weather during the harvest was marvellous, we therefore could harvest the various varietals at the best time. The grapes were flawless. The whites are very structured, fat with aromatics that are bit more evolved than the 2007 wines. The reds have a slightly higher alcohol content than the previous vintage……The vinification process went well.. We started picking Grechetto in mid September and we finished with Malvasia di Candia around the 20th of October..”
