Camp More

Address

Strada Morandini, 11 - 12053 Castiglione Tinella (Cuneo)

Owner

Giulio and Paolo Morando

Region

Piedmont

The brand is owned by Morando family, historical winegrowers from Castiglione Tinella and the vineyards are situated in the heart of the Moscato area.
The Morando brothers work has been increasingly concentrated on the vineyard, a blessed territory rich in marl and limestone, like in few other areas. This gift given by Mother Nature has been repaid by the family by respecting the land: 80% of the energy they use comes from a renewable source and they avoid distributing a good 10 tons of carbon dioxide every year! This formula is their way of thanking the environment, preserving it, and continuing to keep alive a tradition that repeats itself each year in the vineyards. This strong bond with their territory and traditions is also reflected in in the name of the brand, using terms of the Piedmont dialect describing the historical origin of the vineyards. ‘Camp More’ means ‘blackberry field’ because where the vineyards are today there were once fields of wild blackberries and still today the vineyards are surrounded by forests where wild blackberries grow.
