Borgo del Cedro
The reality of Borgo del Cedro (village of the cedar) was born from the will of the new generation of the Costantini family, sisters Sara and Giulia, to continue the family’s passion for the world of viticulture and oenology. Sara and Giulia are the first generation of only women to manage the estate and are intent on making the world a better place. Since its inception, the winery has been committed to protecting its territory, producing wines with native varieties, and reducing the release of polluting products into nature.
The cedar has a millenary history of being used by the Phoenicians for the construction of large boats, as well as the construction of the temple in Jerusalem, the palace of Solomon and the labyrinth of Minos. This tree is a symbol of greatness of mind and spiritual elevation, due to the height of its stem and its branches. For Sara and Giulia, it is a symbol of rebirth, growth, and hope.
The winery is approximately 8 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Monte Porzio catone, Monte Compatri and Rome. The wines reflect the family traditions, handed down from father to daughters, but above all, the territory from which they are born. The Frascati Superiore DOCG and the Rosso Lazio IGT emulate the passion handed down from generation to generation. The Roma DOC collection brings out the volcanic component of the soil, tuff, and basalt.
