Innovative by nature – Sometimes, even the most enduring traditions need a little drift. Edoardo Sderci is part of a thriving new scene of young Tuscan winemakers driven by a territorial, artisan and emotional work philosophy.
Edoardo Sderci has grafted his own production philosophy onto the tradition stemming from Podere il Palazzino, the family farm that had been practising organic viticulture for years.
He keeps environmental impact to a minimum avoiding synthetic products and limiting aftercare practices as much as possible, in order to produce wines that best express their time and their territory. The wines of Edoardo Sderci stand out as the newest interpretation of a complex, wonderful terroir: that is Monti in Chianti, in the municipality of Gaiole, one of the Chianti Classico areas that are most suited to the production of great wines.
This particular micro-area has also proved to be an ideal place to experiment with original and unconventional types of wines. Edoardo Sderci’s wine line is deeply rooted in the typical Chianti varieties, such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino. However, it seeks to offer a new interpretation free of pre-established schemes.
