Tre Croci (Three Crosses) comes from a single vineyard in the town of Garofano di Savignano sul Panaro of 1.9 hectares with a South-West exposure from old vines of the late 1970s. Here the proximity to the Panaro river creates a very particular composition of the soil which enhances the tannicity of the Lambrusco Grasparossa, very different from the one coming from the Passanello vineyard.
Here the silt rules, characterizing the wine with a sharp tannicity, very important for a wine that aims to last several years. It is usually harvested at the end of September, the first ten days of October when it is fully ripe.
