Marenca, a two-hectare plot, is in a pronounced and particularly steep valley, which gives the wine great depth and structure. Barolo Marenca has an intense garnet red color. The great, fresh complexity of the aromas range from berries, vanilla, and chocolate to aromatic herbs. On the palate it is very vigorous, rich in extracts, with lively but pleasant tannins, softened by the skillful use of wood. It is a powerful and intriguing Barolo, with a long life.
